Certified Financial Markets Professional – Foundation Level
This certification level is aiming to measure whether a candidate would be able to act as an informed member of a Financial Markets Analysis Team. To this end they need to show they understand the principles and terminology of the method, specifically, candidates must be able to:
- Explain what a different financial markets are and how they work.
- Explain what the Bond Market, the Derivatives Market, Options Mar-ket, Commodities Market, Futures Market and Foreign Exchange Market are and how they work.
- Explain the concept of different funds.
- Explain the financial instruments that are traded on a stock market.
- Explain the role of different participants in a stock market.
- Explain basic trading styles.
- State basic technical analysis concepts and techniques.
- Explain the EMH, CAPM, and the Portfolio Theory.
- State the main purpose, of the major stock exchanges in the world.

Exams are usually held in universities that are accredited by the local govern-ment or the German embassy. For prices please contact the Management Laboratory since these may vary significantly from country to country. - One hour duration
- 75 questions
- 38 correct answers are required to pass
- Closed-book
Candidates who have passed the CFMP Fundation examination can put CFMP Certified on their business cards. The use of the CFMP Logo however requires authorisation by the Management Laboratory.
